The Earth Charter???

The Earth charter?? Well my main query is, why haven't I heard of this before? Have many people? I understand the thoughts behind all the policies and how badly it wants to save the environment but honestly, to me this looks almost like a new 10 commandments, appears as a new religion of a sort to govern human's way of life, it goes too far....I don't know, maybe I'm just over cynical? But we all know 'world peace' is not just around the corner.
